I Fell in Love!
There have been so few fragrances I’ve truly loved in my life—Chanel No. 5, Trésor, Eternity Summer.
So I didn’t expect to fall for Retrospect quite so deeply.
But this fragrance doesn’t shout.
It whispers.

Fresh new scent
I don’t often find a new fragrance that I like immediately, just too fussy! However, Retrospect was a surprise: fresh, light and the delicious scent of pear was a hit for me.

Wear it anywhere and everywhere
I know nothing about fragrance (so can't identify each note at all) and don't know how this fits into the modern fragrance world, and am not really. I know I don't like strong ones and I was interested in trying something more modern, and like Merit as a a brand. I love Retrospect because nothing about it is overpowering which means I can wear it anywhere, anytime. As I find all fragrance overpowering Retrospect is quite strong for me when I put it on initially, but then It's got a nice bright smell. Then very quickly it settles into something warmer & less obvious which is great for me. I never need to reapply it because it doesn't seem to fade off but I don't know if other people still notice it. I bought the big bottle after I tried the sample, and the packaging is unbelievably classy - feels really organic but looks modern which actually sums up the fragrance perfectly.

A nice scent, fresh and not too overpowering or sweet, which is what I like, I will be using this on a regular basis. I am very lucky to have been given the opportunity to try this, it is also a very handy travel size.

my new favourite perfume!
I love this perfume and have been wearing it everyday since I got it! To me, the strongest notes are the pear and floral notes, but throughout the day you can smell
more of the base notes (musk, moss, vanilla) too which are really warm and comforting. Also, the perfume wears really well - if I apply 3 sprays in the morning I can still smell it by the evening!
