Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Cream I have been using this product since it's early days. I have to agree with a lot of the negative remarks on previous reviews but I found workarounds. Firstly I use it after cleansing toning and applying one of the lighter Liz Earle moisturisers. I make sure I don't over apply otherwise it won't rub in nicely with too thick a layer. The environmental defence cream then gives a good natural look to my skin. I wouldn't use a foundation over it as again it would be too heavy. This on it's own is fine for me in my seventies as less is more and a lighter look much bette for most days of going out walking or shopping. However, I still have some Liz Earle sheer tint which I use for proper going out. That has an SP factor in, however will need to look for another brand of foundation soon as nearly running out of that and Liz Earle no longer offer it, which is a shame. Overall at the end of the summer, as now I have a healthy glow and don't sunbathe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good primer with spf25 My second purchase of this primer, my current favourite & it’s got SPF25. It’s easy to use just blend until it’s absorbed into the skin. It’s a good base for foundation, even though I have visible pours on my nose & chin it seems to prevent my foundation sitting in my pours. I’ve used some premium brand primers but find this has been the best for my skin & foundation application. It’s a very light tint & i find I still need foundation even though I am quite fair skinned & apply my foundation lightly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice product - but the smell is awful. I purchased this product as I like to go bare faced to give my face a rest from full make up, and just wanted a little something extra. The product is lovely and massages well in to the skin. But I can't get past the fragrance of it. It's supposed to be fragrance free, but there is definitely a musty odour to it. Luckily it wears off after a while. But it is unpleasant. Because of this, I can only give it a 3⭐️

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I be used this a few times since I bought it. It goes on nicely over my usual Liz Earle moisturiser. It doesn’t give a lot of coverage but it does give a nice glow and seems to even out my skin fairly well. Ive tried building coverage but then it pills. Saying that, I’m very happy with the product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from An Essential Product I have used this product for several weeks now and so pleased it is a good defence cream which blends into my skin colour. After cleansing, toning and moisturising I apply Skin Defence Cream. A perfect product for the Summer and all through the year.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Heavy texture I'm new to the liz earle range and have loved every product so far and thought I'd try the tinted moisturiser as I was looking for sun/pollution protection. The colour is nice even on pale skin like mine but the texture is a bit too heavy/clumpy for my liking. I'll stick to just regular moisturiser in the future as its just not my cup of tea.
