Completely new formula! New but NOT improved
I've been using Hydra Zen for over 13 years, and it has always been my go-to moisturizer. The lightweight, hydrating formula never felt greasy, and it sank perfectly into my skin, leaving it smooth, moisturized, and calm. So, when I received two jars as gifts over Christmas, I was excited to restock. However, after opening one of the jars, I was shocked to find that the product had completely changed.
At first, I thought I had received a counterfeit version and almost took it back to the store. But after doing some research, I discovered that the formula had indeed been altered. This is no longer the product I’ve loved for over a decade. The new version has a strange, overpowering scent—something akin to an old perfume or hospital-like fragrance—which is off-putting. The cream’s texture has also changed; it's much greasier now and doesn’t sink into my skin like it used to.
The product is now housed in a plastic container, rather than the glass jar I was used to, which feels like a downgrade. When I applied it, it didn’t absorb into my skin, leaving a greasy residue that just sits on top. I used to apply this directly after a shower, and it worked beautifully under my makeup, but now it makes my makeup slide off. Additionally, I’ve experienced some irritation around my eyes, which never happened with the old formula.
The biggest disappointment, though, is how dry my skin has become after using it for just two weeks. I’m not sure how this can still be marketed as Hydra Zen when it no longer offers the same soothing, hydrating benefits it once did. After 13 years of loyalty to this product, I won’t be repurchasing and will be searching for a new moisturizer. This reformulation feels like a complete misstep.

Wonderful.
I have been using Lancôme since the 1980’s when I was a teenager. I would collect those beautiful bags with Isabella on them. This cream is fantastic. Particularly after comforting toner. Thank you Lancôme for being part of most of my life.

I’ve just got my order, but looks like did this cream changed packaging? My previous Hydra Zen Cream looked differently. Even on website Lancôme was looking not like what I got today.

I find the Hydra Zen Range amazing. This cream is moisturising, leaves my skin feeling soft and looking healthy. It absorbs quickly in skin, doesn't clog pores nor leaves the skin feeling oily. It has a pleasant scent too and the packaging is absolutely superb.

Smell The Roses
I've been using this for a couple of weeks now and I just love the way it makes my skin feel so soft and smooth after use. I use mine every morning after cleansing and this sets me up for the day, no oiliness or stickiness like I get with some, just clean, fresh skin. And the smell is beautiful, but then I love the smell of roses which is what this smells of. I will definitely be buying it again.
